A straightforward, no-nonsense, USB controller, which seems to suit me well for home recording duties. It's a bit plasticky, but it's fine - and good at the price.

Although the Key Rig software supplied on CD is for Windows, there is an Intel Mac version available for free online (search for M-Audio Key Rig Software Mac), which was easy enough to install - the drawbar organ's pretty good, pianos are fine, and the synth's alright too. Will run standalone or as VST plugins with your DAW of choice.

Ableton Live Lite 6 came with it too.

Does exactly what you would expect for the money. A good basic MIDI keyboard, exactly what i needed to just plug and play with the software i have on my mac. Nice springy keys, which i prefer for synths, pitch bend and modulation very responsive too. Love it!

Fantastic product! It is sturdy and lightweight and takes up a surprisingly small amount of space. Great for musicians who want to record and produce at home or who have limited space in a studio environment. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get a MIDI controller keyboard.

As a non-keyboard player, I wanted something I could plug directly into my mac and get a variety of sounds to add to my home recordings.

This is pretty much perfect for that! I plugged straight in and was using it in seconds. Very simple - does what it says on the tin (so to speak). One small issue - the sound modules that come with it are not mac compatible, but with the array of sounds available on Garageband, this isn't a huge problem for me.

Build quality is pretty good - I wouldn't go throwing it around but for home use, it should stand the test of time.

Now I just need to learn to play it properly!
