SE do it again with the X1 Large Diapragm condenser. They have managed to build a high quality studio mic at a price point that most budding recordists can access without going bankrupt! What's more, this mic is handmade - and we don't know of any other mic in this price range that can claim that!

And as if to spoil us, SE have not skimped on features - the 10dB pad allows you to record loud sound sources like drums or electric guitar cabs, and a low cut switch is also thrown in. If you've been using a cheap dynamic mic and you're finding you want a more open, professional sound you could do a lot worse than the SE-X1.
