MXR Smart Gate Pedal

The MXR M-135 Smart Gate Pedal gives you 3 selectable types of noise reduction: Hiss, Mid, and Full. Bites down on hiss and hum but lets all of your music shine through.

Intelligent design provides dual high and low adaptive filters, opens at lightning speed, introduces no extra distortion, and lets you control the sensitivity of the gate's threshold. The MXR M-135 Smart Gate Pedal features hardwire bypass with footswitch and slim, tough stompbox housing.

well not much to be said about this pedal. Its awesome, i couldnt do without it. its a set and forget pedal. first off i love the paint job, and a nice bright blue l.e.d. The only bad feature is that it does not eliminate all hiss, but you can really only hear the hiss when yur amp is turned up loud.

I bought this pedal to get a quiet amp when using gained up pedals or a distorted amp. When I first got it, I placed as the first pedal in my signal chain and I found that it didn't do much good. I then experimented in having it in various positions and finally putting it in my fx loop before the delays and it was absolute win! The amp was completely quiet unless I really cranked the gain. I gave it 4*s as it can't remove quite enough noise but a good pedal nonetheless- and very reliable, very solid build .
