The Memory Man with Harazai by Electro Harmonix certainly pushes all the right buttons for me. It's an excellent piece of kit and produces some excellent sounds and tones.

It took some getting used to and it's essential that you read the instructions thoroughly before plugging in and getting started.

I use this virtually every time i play at home and think it was a very good investment. Electro Harmonix have once again produced a winner that is sturdy, well built and does what it says on the box plus more. Hours of pleasure to be had from this unit at a reasonable price compared to some others on the market. 10/10 from me on this one.

Delay, delay, delay - having previously been a multi-effects user, I decided to go down the single pedal path, and am I glad I did!

The different delay options on this pedal are definitely varied, but the quality doesn't suffer - every setting is nothing short of fantastic. It has your simple but effective slapback, going on to the near infinite repeating, speaker killing oscillations that the more experimental players love. This pedal's delay functions are outstanding. The Hazarai control gives a lot of customisability, allowing you to store a preset for each of the 7 modes and also to switch between the modes - from a conventional delay, to reverse playing (for that Hendrix vibe) and, perhaps most importantly, the looper.

The looper is the reason I bought this pedal - I was looking for a cheap(ish) effective looping solution. I'm a blues and jazz player, and I need the ability to lay down some simply chord patterns so I can practice improvising over the top. With 30 seconds of memory, this is superb. It allows me to overdub as well, and adds tremendous value to what is already a fantastic pedal. Also, the looper can have different delay effects applied to it - so I can have a chord loop played in reverse, and then slapback delay on my overdubbed layers - no problems whatsoever!

The only downside to this pedal, as far as I'm concerned, is that it's a little bit technical. It definitely requires a skim of the manual to understand what the different controls do in each different mode, but it's well worth it for the tonal possibilities it opens up. Overall, I'd say it's well worth the cost - it's sturdy, reliable and brilliant!
