The Vox Amplug series consists of a small analogue circuit within a tiny chassis with a jack plug interface so that it can plug directly into your guitar - it's no bigger than 3 inches by 3 inches by 1 inch and emulates the sound of classic rock distortion tones.

It also has an aux-in so that you can connect an MP3 player or iPod to play along with your favourite tracks ... oh and did I mention that it runs on 2 x AAA batteries so that you can plug-in anytime anyplace .... ? This Amplug is the Lead/Metal model. It's tone is based on a US-made high-gain boutique amp, further modified for lead guitar. Also contained is a digital delay effect, delivering a huge, spatial sound that could not be previously obtained, and giving you a rich and full-fledged lead sound that you can play anytime and anywhere

The beauty of the Vox Amplug is that it doesn't depend on mains for its power and is small enough to take anywhere - Vox suggest that this is a great warm-up tool to use half an hour before a gig so that once you're on stage you're ready to rock ...

The Vox Amplug Lead is a very versitile guitar accessory. At an affordable price. A great way to being able to have all the advantages of a big sounding amp without all the hassel of gearing up with amp and leads. Simply plug into the guitar jack attach a set of head phones and you're away. There is even an option to attach via the accessory input jack to a mp3, CD or computer now being able to jam away to your favourite tunes. Great for practicing that new rift or lick. The amp is fully adjustable for gain , volume and tone allowing a variety stlyes even a tremelo setting. I found this plug in amp even works well coupled to my Line 6 Variax 600 or Epi Les Paul with no loss of clarity. A must at these prices its so simple try one and you will not be dissapointed.
