- What does this mean?
The included software may now be a download online and the stated CD may not be enclosed with this item as a resultWhen the Yamaha THR10 Guitar Amp hit the market last year it was seen a real breakthrough for people wanting great tone at low volume for desktop use. If the original THR10 was a one size fits all model the new Yamaha THR10C Guitar amp gives your a more specific set of tones to suit your playing. The THR10C is all about those classic boutique bluesy sounding amps. Digital Delay is replaced a warm Tape Delay Emulation.
The Yamaha THR10C also works great as a recording interface and an ipod dock (or anything with a 3.5mm jack) Yamaha refer to this as your "Third" Amp but we feel it would also work great as your First, Second, Fourth or Fifth Amp.
Watch our World Exclusive Videos to hear what this amp can offer.
Here is what Yamaha say about the THR10CIt’s not a stage amp, but it’s not a practice amp either. THR is something totally new – the amp for everywhere you play that isn’t on stage. Designed from the ground-up to be the perfect amp for the way guitarists really play when they’re not playing live, THR-toting guitarists are joining the tone revolution and rewriting the rules on how your guitar should sound away from the stage.
But what if you like the THR concept but want it more specialized, with even more focus, to get the perfect sound for you? What if you’re a real tone-hound and already know your sound down to the smallest detail, but are constantly on the search for that tiny detail, that certain ‘something’ to perfect it everywhere youplay? What if there was a THR that was dialed in to a specific tonal direction, a THR that was focused on
the subtleties of tone and dynamics between amps that are similar in most people’s eyes but are worlds apart in the eyes of the experienced?
Get ready to spend even more time playing guitar. You’re going to like this…
THR10C takes the personal-amp concept to a new level of audio fidelity. The finest tube amps respond to a player’s every touch – with picking dynamics and playing style adding as much to the tone as your guitar and pickups.
Using Yamaha’s exclusive VCM (Virtual Circuitry Modelling) technology, THR10C perfectly recreates the unmistakable response and dynamics that only a boutique tube combo can provide.
DELUXE: Twin 6L6 output stage and low gain preamp for clean tube warmth with late-breakup
CLASS A: 4xEL84s in a true Class-A configuration with interactive EQ for rich, complex harmonic tones and warm overdrive
US BLUES: low-power, low-gain twin EL84 design for clarity and definition
BRIT BLUES: KT88 powered for easy breakup and midrange rich overdrive
MINI: 12AX7, single EL84 – a no-frills tone monster that responds incredibly to picking dynamics
BASS, ACO, FLAT: These are the same as on the THR10.

After too many years of pithering around and forgetting all I ever did on the guitar, the THR10 has reawaken my enthusiasm to the point where I can feel the callouses returning after a day or two! I can think of no finer recommendation.
If you're looking for really good sounds that you can get straight into your computer via Cubase AI (straightforward download included), look no further. I upgraded to Cubase Elements, but what is supplied is fine. Thoroughly recommended.

Most impressed with this little amp

Everything I have read about this great little amp is true. (br/)I wanted a small amp to replace my Fender Mustang II as I don't gig and it was taking up too much space. The THR sits on my desk now and gets used daily. (br/)The modelling is great - the amp feels very responsive to the guitar dynamics and every amp model cleans up beautifully. (br/)This amp is pretty much the same price everywhere but I bought from Andertons as I appreciate the considerable effort they put into their product demo videos.

I bought this amp to use while on holiday in the UK. It produces better tone at workable home volumes than any of my other amps. If you get one, do download and use the Yamaha preset editing app - some very nice compressor and reverb options which are not available from the knobs on top.

Lovely tones coming from this amp. Have not had chance to play with the PC compatibility yet but hoping for good results. The amp is loud enough for indoor home use. Very pleased with this 'Blues specific' purchase.

This thing is awesome, It has immediately made all my other "magic boxes" (podx2, BossVF-1, M-audio BlackBox) obsolete. It is great for recording, gives both wet and dry stereo (or mono if you wish) inputs.

A great amp just really very usable with some amazing features and great tones. (br/)I seem to use this one all the time now!

This amp fills the hole of home practice device perfectly! Realistic generated tube amp sounds which react well to how you attack the guitar at a reasonable volume. (br/)I previously had the fender fuse amp to satisfy this need but as with all amps when playing along to MP3s through the mono speaker it sounded terrible. Otherwise great amps. Anyways back to Yamaha it sounds like youre with the band and a stereo room filling sound. Fantastic little box! Definitely get one.

Just the right tiny, space saving amp that you can bundle into any bag or have it next to your sofa and jam along whenever you want. Versatile with several amp options along with affects. Can't think of recommending anything better for a practice amp.

This is a cracking good amp. Great sounds and flexibility and the supplied editor software means that you can change just about every sound it has. But I really like the presets. They are well chosen and sound so good.

This is a great bit of kit! Had the original THR10 and loved it but as mainly a blues player, I had to buy the THR10C and very glad I did.

Ever since I saw the review of the THR 10C on the Andersons website I had been dying to get my hands on one and when I finally did, I wasn’t disappointed.
A great sound from such a small piece of kit. I find it so versatile, I can jam along with backing tracks or just experiment with different sounds through different amps and the editor is something I have just started to work through, it gives even more scope to fine tune that tone.
I’m really please with my THR 10C, my best purchase yet!

This is a great little amp, the built in effects mean that you don't have to worry about connecting lots of pedals. This will be predominantly a bedroom practice amp for me but is portable enough to take around the house. Being able to connect it to an iPad / MP3 player just adds to its versatility and as they say in the reviews, it really does sound as though your guitar is in the mix of the song. All together a very fun little amp to play with.

It is as good as they say, worn my fingers out since this arrived. So much tone with so little volume, has that low down thump too. I have trouble walking past my guitars now. In fact one is permanently plugged in!
Just do it, you will not be disappointed. Oh and fantastic delivery and customer service from Andertons too. It was delivered within 24hrs in a foot of snow too! Can't complain about that can ya?
Gillian | Purchase date: 15 January 2013
Brilliant piece of kit. Does exactly what it says it does. I played through it for hours, just playing with all the sounds available. And all without deafening myself.
Mark | Purchase date: 18 December 2012
Awesome piece of kit! I bought myself the THR10 in the Summer and loved it. Bought this one for my Dad and it's essentially the same product tweaked with amp sounds centred around blues playing and it really does sound as good as all the other reviews you've seen online. These Yamaha amps really are something special and worth every penny. Don't hesitate to buy - you'll love it. Of course, Andertons were great on service / delivery as always.

Wow oh yes wow .guitar tones for blues or rock .l
This little amp sits at my side ,taking up 1 6th of the space my last amp took up.
But with a sound twice the size.
Ideal for me and my small flat,
Fantastic tone at low volume .just what I wanted .
Debbie | Purchase date: 04 December 2012
Very versatile. Realistic sounds at low volume. Lasts well on batteries (about 6hrs, as claimed). Sounds good from MP3 player. Sounds best at close range. Very pleased with this amp.
Graham | Purchase date: 02 December 2012
This is a fantastic piece of kit. I have been playing guitar for 50 plus years and have always been a bit sniffy about non valve amps but this is brilliant for home use to the extent that I have packed away amps, pedal boards, endless cables etc. and just use the THR10C. It does everything I need at home including headphone socket and the THR Editor and included Cubase are a real bonus.
Hugh | Purchase date: 30 November 2012
When I first unpacked the THR10C from the box I thought I may had made a mistake as it was smaller than I had imagined however when I plugged it in and started to play, WOW ! What an impressive sound from such a small amp. I have worked through the various settings and effects on this amp and can only further impressed by its versatility and ease of use. The guitar tuning feature is a definite added bonus too. Well done Yamaha.

After seeing the superb review video I decided to buy the THR10C. It is everything I hoped for and more. As a home practice amp it is incredible. Easy to use and great sounds. In addition, the option to edit / create your own sounds with the THR editor means that you can tailor the amp to your needs / preferences.
I haven't tried the recording functions yet (cubase AI included) but looks straightforward and very impressive.
