this amp is truly amazing, really gives a punch. i was contemplating getting the 120 watt spider 4 but thought "the bigger the better" and how right i was!!! i cant get the volume up above where 2 would be without seriously damaging my hearing!! its full of effects! it's big and looks really smart! absolutely no problems with this amp, other then there is no instruction manual, but with that in mind there is one to download on the line6 website, so no big deal! also found that andertons was the cheapest place selling this amp in the southeast and was free delivery!! cant say a bad word!!

After using various line 6 amps and pedals i decided to upgrade to the spider iv 150v 2x12 amp...wow what a difference stereo makes ,brings new life to the 100s of effects built into a sturdy all round amp.Im in a gigging band and this amp has no problem cutting through the hardest of drummers ..shimmering cleans and the hardest of crunch available either using the presets of dialing in your own custom sounds....if you havent used or heard line 6 amps you dont know what your missing!!!

Ordered before 12 noon and recieved the next day,WELL DONE ANDERTONS!!!! I will be using you again very soon !!!

I bought a line 6 Spider IV 150W, absolutely love it, it provides a huge variety of effects, though a few of the presets do sound very similar. Also, a couple of the presets don't necessarily sound like the songs they're meant to be imitating, the Comfortably Numb Solo for example. Don't get me wrong, the effect is still awesome and suits the song very much, it just isn't the same effects that are used in the album/live versions, that I know of anyway. I can't really complain though, thanks to the Andertons' sale late December, I managed to buy it a good £40 cheaper than the closest competitor.

As for the postage, there was a backlog that required clearing from Christmas and the new year, due to this (and a CityLink transport lorry from Guildford breaking down), my item was a few days later than expected. I rang up the Andertons Music Co. staff numerous times to find out what was currently happening, they did as much as they could to find out for me and rang me back very shortly after with what they had learned.

When delivered, one of the chrome dials on the front of the amp had been broken in transport, they sent an entirely new amp to replace it, which was extremely unexpected.

The Line 6 Spider 4 150 combo is excellent. I should know, I sold my Vetta to get it. You read that right. I am a confirmed Line 6 fan, having got into them from the quality of the clean sounds and from trying out the original POD-to see what all the fuss was about. I have owned Flextones and all the predecessors to the Vetta, since I primarily play in cover bands need loads of different sounds and want to control it all from one simple pedal board. The journey to the Spider 4 began when I bought the Line 6 Spider Jam for its practice ability, and over time realised that the guitar sounds were awesome, and that while I was too cool to admit it-the "childish" presets were often brilliant. It took a while longer for me to admit that while my Vetta was better at many things, the Spider series had the ability to go from a clean sound to a hot lead better than anything I had previously owned and was not full of lots of stuff I would never use. So when I heard about the Spider 4, I had to check it out especially as Line 6 claim it is their best software ever. I think the new models are great especially the new Class A settings. There is plenty of touch sensitivity in these models for me - and I am successfully for the first time in years using the guitar volume control to control drive and go from clean to hot in a single patch. It works with any of the models you want it to. If you have never tried a modelling amp-or haven't for a while you need to hear this. While it is heresy to say it valves are on the way out. Check out the G66 equipment to read their obituary. Computing can just keep getting better-valves have hit thheir ceiling. The Wah is good-excellent in fact-but not to my personal taste. Ironically they have "upgraded" theSpider 4 wah to the Vetta wah. It's a funky wah, but I prefer the Spider 3 Vox model Wah. Happily with the additional software you can download (FX Infusion) (free from Line 6 if you have the floorboard-I do,) you can get to choose your wah from several models. The new pitch shifter works brilliantly-and as an old rocker while I will only use it occasionally for fake twin leads-it is nice tophave. Of real benefit to me is the new looper. It's great to be able to practice over a loop you have laid down in seconds. (You have to learn to stop and start it in time-but that's ok) The combo is plently loud to gig with, and has some more grunt as it has a closed back this time. So should you upgrade your Spider 3 for this? Well I have kept mine. These things have now developed their own character like traditional amps, there are things the Spider 4 does better and things where I prefer the Spider 3 tonality. You owe it to yourself to hear one. Line 6 Spider amp's are the top selling amps in the USA-they've go to be doing something right. Use your ears and you decide.
