The Yamaha NTX700 is a highly versatile, Classically styled, electro acoustic guitar with a cutaway. It features Yamaha's 2way Pickup system combining the outputs of both a bass and treble pickup to improve tone and reduce feedback.

Like the NTX1200 and NTX900, this model easily accommodates a wide range of musical and playing styles and offers the perfect place to start exploring your music and nylon string sound.

A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) is an original wood reforming technology developed by Yamaha. Through precise control of temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure, the molecular properties of the wood can be manipulated into a more acoustically ideal condition, similar to the molecular characteristics of woods in instruments that have been played for years.

In NX Series guitars, this treatment results in a sound close to that of a vintage guitar that has been played for years. It produces a sharper tone while simultaneously controlling dissonance in the high range. Instruments that have undergone this process have received high marks from a great number of musicians. Their evaluations are nearly identical to those for guitars that have been played for years, and their comments often include terms such as "well settled", "mature", "warm", "excellent resonance", and "clear".

We bought this guitar for my son's birthday and he has never had a better present!
He plays it all the time!
The quality of the sound is better than expected and his guitar teacher is equally impressed. We made the right choice and as the range of guitars at Anderton's is extensive it was a difficult decision.,
We're so pleased with our purchase we would highly recommend it to others.

Really nice guitar and find it a perfect blend of traditional 6 string acoustic and standard classical guitar. I like to occasionally switch from steel to nylon, and because of the narrower neck, i definetly miss less notes !!
I am a bit of a spruce and rosewood purist, but I have to say, these woods are fine and produce a nice tone. And, as ever, Yamaha turn out exceptionally good value for money guitars - Its my third
