Since 1980 the Shubb capo has set the standard against which all others must be measured. It is the first choice ... often the only choice... of more than a million musicians worldwide. Once the serious guitarist has discovered the Shubb, he'll never settle for anything less

So who needs a capo on an electric guitar ? Surely they are for folkies and people who can't play bar chords ?

    Hmmm.

Actually that may only be part of the story.

If you play in a band with more than one guitarist it can be really boring when all the guitars are playing the same chord in the same position. Whack on your capo and play a different inversion up the neck , with "open" strings ringing and you have really nice variation on the original sound. Some very famous sounds have been produced using a capo - I believe George Harrison ( one of the very best) used one on Here Comes The Sun. If you look carefully you will often see pix of great bands where one of the guitarists is using a capo. So give it a go. Shubbs are the Daddies , available in lots of sizes and won't let you down. I say get one soon.....

Shubb Capos are definitely the best capos I ever had the chance to try.

I recently bought a C4 model to use on my Tele, and it fits like a glove, keeping the guitar in tune no matter where you place it along the fingerboard – you just adjust the spring tension, and there you go – no tuning necessary. You can even use it live and put it on in between songs without any fuss. I also have the C1 and C2 models for steel acoustic and nylon strung guitars. If you’re into alternate tunings or just want to transpose some keys to suit your vocals, you can’t go wrong with these.
