Gretsch Guitars and Drums : Brand Information

Gretsch

Started in 1883, as a banjo, drum and tambourine manufacturer, Gretsch have always been passionate about instrument craftsmanship and pioneering design. They were the ones to introduce the Bigsby Trem to the electric guitar, and have been market leaders for arch-top and semi-acoustic guitars.

Pleasing the expectations of musicians such as Chet Atkins, Bono, Charlie Watts, Neil Young and Phil Collins, they have always been regarded as leaders in the making of quality instruments, with Gretsch Guitars and Gretsch Drums being particularly highly-respected products in industry today.

With a variety of hollow body guitars including the Chet Atkins and Brian
Setzer models, as well as the more affordable Electromatic range, there is something to
suit musicians of all levels.

Gretsch's drum kits are just as varied, from the affordable and stylish Catalina range, all the way up to the stunning hand-crafted USA custom kits they offer.

A Gretsch guitar or shell pack is always guaranteed to have that little bit of quirky musical character that many manufacturers sometimes lack.
