Epiphone Guitars were founded over 130 years ago as a guitar manufacturer in their own right, but are probably most famous nowadays for their inexpensive versions of Gibson guitars.
These Gibson "copies" include the famous Flying V, multiple versions of the Les Paul, the Hummingbird, Sheraton and other legendary names in electric guitar history.
John Lennon famously used an Epiphone Guitar, the Epiphone Casino guitar from the Revolver album onwards, and the firm makes two John Lennon signature models.
Other famous musicians who have made use o anf Epiphone Guitar include The Edge, Steve Marriott, Paul Weller, and Noel Gallagher.
