I bought these strings for my DEAN Edge-5 on the basis that I have been using Ernie Ball strings for my guitars for nearly 20 years & have found none better.

Ernie Ball didn't let me down with these Regular Slinkys either, great tuning stability, longevity & tone.

What else do you want :)

[Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 5 string bass set]

I used Rotosound for years and they've been okay, but go dull very quickly for me. Not wanting that Motown 'dead strings' sound particularly, I opted for Ernie Balls instead. Much happier with these - a fullsome, longer lasting sound, better low B tension too. Okay, they're not DRs, which would be my top choice - but they're a good deal cheaper!
