Ashdown Perfect Ten Bass Amp

Ashdown is one of the worlds biggest names in bass amplification. They have a huge list of famous users (U2, System of a Down, Radio Head, Jamiroquai - the list goes on & on!), and whats even better is that Ashdown is a British company. The Ashdown Perfect Ten one of the smaller amps in their range & is ideal for people starting out, or for players that need something small & portable for practice. The Perfect Ten is still a home use amp, but with just enough grunt for a small jam with a couple of other musicians.

Here's what Ashdown say about the Perfect Ten

The Perfect Ten bass practice amp combines a 30 watt power section with a single 10" Ashdown BlueLine bass speaker. Sounds can be shaped quickly and intuitively using bass, middle and treble controls, supplemented by a pre-shaped 'deep' switch. A headphone output is provided for private practice along with an extension speaker output.

I was looking around for an amp at my local store, and this was by far the best amp i tested out for my budget. After purchasing i took it home and jammed with my friends at their house, as well as providing a great tone it was able to compete with the 100w guitar amps and cut through so that it was easily audible. The only downside is that it's quite heavy, which is only a small problem if you have transport or it's for home use. Overall i'd say its one of the best bass amps you can get around the 100 pounds mark.
