Marshall MB30 30 watt Bass Amp

Perfect for all you budding bassists out there, the Marshall MB30 is the next step up from your first bass amp. One of the great things about the MB30 is that it has a lot of different features which makes it very versatile. It delivers some great tones that can be sculpted using the "voicing" feature along with the Modern/classic switch. The on-board compressor will help smooth out your sounds, making for a more professional tone for the advancing bassist. Yet another great feature is the CD input, allowing you to plug your MP3 player or any other audio device into the amp and play along. You could even use the headphone socket for midnight practice without disturbing the neighbors! To sum up - the MB30 is a great little amp that's perfect for practicing and jamming along with friends.

Here's what Marshall say about the MB30 30 Watt Bass Amp

Next in the MB range is the 1x10 30 Watt combo. The MB30 takes the budding bass player a step further to hitting the stage with aggression and growl. Like the 15 Watt combo the MB30 has 2 channels (modern & classic) with a shared 3-band passive tone network, featuring a mid-voice control with 3 modes. The modern channel has a switch able compressor with variable level control. Both channels are selectable via an optional footswitch

As always, a first class product from Marshall. This is the second Marshall amp I have bought, both are perfect for the job they set out to do. I always recommend Marshall and will contonue to do so.

Whilst still early days with my first bass amp, I love its simplicity, its compactness and its sound. And with a 3 year warrantly - no worries for a while!

Having the "CD in" and "Headphone out" have been so useful as I teach myself and jam along to my favourite tunes.

Would definetly recommend as a practice amp and for jamming with mates.

This amp replaced the Fender rumble 15w amp i got with my starter pack. In my opinion, for the modest price tag this amp is not at all bad. Being a Marshall you can be sure you'll get a good sound from it every time you play. I generally play, classic rock and blues and have found this amp performs well, not distorting evn at high volumes. The two channels give the amp a good deal of flexibility, making it great for a deep classic sound or a sharp defined modern sound.

The only slight criticism i have of this amp is that you do have to fiddle with the tone settings a lot to get any sort of noticeable difference in the tone whilst using the same sound channel.
