QSC K10 1000w Powered 12" Speaker

The new QSC K series speakers are the most lightweight you will find in this size and power rating! They weigh just 18kg which is very light compared to similar speakers by competitors. They feature a number of input options so you can use them with a mixer or just plug straight in for instant sound reinforcement without any fuss!

These speakers are great for excellent quality sound in small-medium venues where rigging/derigging or transportation is a big consideration. Check out the review of the K8 and KSub below from Performing Musician to hear someone other than us raving about these speakers!

Reviews

  • "This is a very flexible PA system, which sounds great and has loads of reserve power, and is ridiculously easy to handle considering its level of performance."
  • "The K8 speakers are so light that you can carry one in your hand with the other under your arm."
  • "The K Series performed beautifully all day, and we had a number of complimentary remarks about the sound from performers and audience. I didn't have any trouble in getting everything I wanted from the system, and I never felt I had to fight it or compromise on anything."
  • "I couldn't think of anything I didn't like about them... For a bigger venue I'd love to try out the larger K10 or K12 full-range speakers... For smaller venues, the K8 plus KSub combination is a cracking little system and should find many friends in the portable live sound world."

These speakers are amazing! I tried mackies - which sounded thin and distorted at almost any volume, and the ev's - which were much better, but lacked the warmth and character that the qsc's have(especially with the 'deep' switch on).

At lower volume(50%) they sound like very loud studio monitors. I've used them for several very different gigs, with a pub rock band - for vocals and an electric drum kit, they sounded great, with bags of headroom, with the kick drum being heard easily and not cutting out the vocals each time the drummer kicked it!

And with a ceiledh band, with acoustic instruments(violin, mandoline) and electric bass and guitar, where it was very easy to get a warm, rich mix almost immediately.

I can only think of one negative aspect - they only have one side handle, and one top handle - which makes carrying them much harder than having 2 side ones.

So, don't be put off by the plastic build, they're far 'warmer' than the ev's, I'm really pleased with them.

Andertons let me try all their different range of speakers, superb shop, and gave useful, informed advice in helping me choose.

The QSC K12 system is a really impressive piece of kit! Good looks, superb sound quality, loads of volume and great definition. I've used many small sized P.A sytems in my time and the 'K' series is pretty well hard to beat for the smaller set up. We use 2 x K12's with our Trio - Acoustic, Electric guitars, drums, 3 x Vocals and occasional keyboards and the clarity is excellent. Backing Trax pronounce very well also and, compared to similar priced systems, the spec' is amazing. Vocal ranges (H.F) can be boosted as can the Bass range (L.F) with simple switching - too much info' available for my review here 'though. Of course, there is always a downside to everything, hence my 4 star rating (should have been 5 star!). I've tried several different mounting stands and the K12 tends to wobble slightly, not a problem in reality, but can be a little disconcerting!

My main concern was with the supplied mains cables fitted with American IEC and Euro style plugs onto 110Volt rated cable. Andertons are looking into this so I expect the situation has been resolved by now. A standard U.K moulded 13A/Euro plug cable can be used anyway. I'm looking at a further 2 x K12's as stage monitors, their cabinets are shaped for this purpose as well. Highly recommended! Dave G'

These speakers are brilliant !!!!!!! There are the clearest, crispest, warmest speakers i have every heard for the money !!!

They are not the loudest speakers i have ever heard but if you turn them up full whack they will still make your ears bleed !!!

I bough 2 1000w sub to go with the top and although it was a lot more money i feel as if it was well worth the money as the sound with all 4 speakers blasting is massive !!!!!

I have a system now that i think would do me for all types of venues i would ever play with my own gear. Highly recomended !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
