Guild GAD40C Dreadnought Acoustic
Here's what Guild say about the GAD40C:
The Guild GAD40C was designed utilizing a body shape that is the most popular acoustic body shape in the world and has been used for over 70 years. To accommodate modern playing styles, we added a Venetian cut-a-way for ease in reaching the higher registers of the guitar.
We use solid Mahogany for the back and sides, a solid spruce top that features scalloped bracing, and then joined the one piece mahogany neck with the traditional dovetail neck joint. For other appointments on the GAD40C we use Indian Rosewood for the fingerboard and bridge. We continued the use of high quality tone woods by featuring ebony for the pearl dot inlayed bridge and strap pins, then added wood bindings, and Grover Rotomatic tuning gears. For the best in tone and intonation, we installed a bone nut and bone compensated saddle.
For the finishing touches we inlayed classic pearl fingerboard inlays and then pack the instrument in a wooden arched case. A guitar worthy of representing over 50 years of fine guitar building by Guild Guitars.
