Stagg Half Size Classical Guitar

These half size nylon string guitars are perfect starter guitars for young children. Despite the low price, these are not toys - they are well constructed instruments that give a good tone & a comfortable action. Half size guitars are genrally suitable for children aged 5-7 years old.

Children will find nylon strings much easier to play than steel strings - it is easier to hold down the notes & won't hurt the tips of their fingers.

Stagg are one of the biggest (if not the biggest) Far Eastern instrument manufacturers & Andertons has been selling this guitar for over 5 years. We're 100% satisfied that this is the best guitar we can offer at this price. The Stagg C510 Half Size guitar does not come with any accessories, so if you need a bag or a set of tuning pipes you will need to buy these separately.

I bought this half size classical style guitar for my 9 year old son. The assistant rated it as a good starter guitar for small hands and also easier to press the strings down than a steel string guitar. It took a while to tune it straight from the box as the strings were loosened but after a while of stretching the strings it tuned up nicely. Ideal for learning open chords, but maybe not quite as tuned for barre chords. The guitar is good value and well made with a very nice orange high gloss finish. I would recommend it to anyone wishing to get a youngster into guitar playing, without having to get an amp and all the associated noise! Plus no batteries, plugs or leads so its go anywhere.
