CB Starter Drum Set
The CB Drum set is a great value complete starter kit for the budding drummer. It comes with everything you need to get going: 5 drums, hardware (cymbal stand, snare stand and hi-hat stand), bass drum pedal, stool and cymbals. For a limited time - we are also throwing in a free pair of sticks so this kit has everything you need to get started!
There are literally 100's of brands of starter drum kits out there & we've tried most of them. We've stuck with the CB brand for 6 or 7 years now, as many of the cheaper alternatives come with very poor quality drums & hardware.
The CB kit features good quality shells & very sturdy hardware - we have virtually zero warranty returns on CB kits, and thats amazing when you think of the abuse that they get from drummers! The last thing you need if you're starting on the drums is to have a kit where bits fall off & break every week - with the CB kit this won't happen.
There are two sizes of kit available in the CB series - a Rock size & a Fusion size. This has nothing to do with the size of the player - both are proper full size kits. A Rock kit comes with a 22" bass drum & slightly larger toms, giving the bigger boomier sound generally associated with rock drums. The Fusion kit comes with a 20" bass drum & slightly smaller toms, giving a tighter more funky sound.
If you're worried about the noise that the drums will make in your house, then you should consider buying a set of silencer pads. These are just foam rubber pads that lay on top of each drum (& and are available for cymbals too). These massively reduce the noise of the drums (although not entirely!) and keep the stick response fairly similar. You just take them off when you want to play loud - no glue, it's easy!
