The Line 6 TonePort KB37 is the mosr recent addition to the Line 6 TonePort family of USB recording and modelling audio interfaces. With the KB37 you can record guitar and vocals with renowned Line 6 sound and add a few choice keyboard parts to complete your compositions. The TonePort KB37 gives you 37 full-sized synth-action keys, pitch/mod wheels, assignable transport controls, an expression pedal input, and the same dual footswitch jacks as the UX2 for control of effect on/off, tone select, tap tempo, and other parameters as well as sustain, start/stop, and punch in for your MIDI/music recording software.
The Line 6 TonePort KB37 combines a 16/24-bit 44.1/48Khz USB audio interface suitable for recording vocals, guitar and bass with a 37-key MIDI controller keyboard, an all-in-one recording interface when connected to your DAW. The TonePort KB37 includes 2 mic inputs with +48V phantom power suitable for condenser microphones, a Hi-Z guitar/bass input with switchable pad (to cool down overly hot signals) feeding Line 6 GearBox premium tone front end software including 18 guitar and 5 bass amp/cab models, 30 stompbox/effects, and 6 studio mic preamps emulations. A integrated 37-key full sized MIDI controller keyboard with pitch and mod wheels completes the rcording package.
Line 6's ToneDirect featured in the TonePort KB37 allows you to monitor the fully processed signal via a stereo 1/4" jack output while you record without additional latency (delay) added by your recording software or computer's operating system. Other interfaces offer direct monitoring of the unprocessed (dry) analogue signal to avoid latency, meaning you hear unprocessed guitar and dry vocals while recording. If you've ever had to lay down a vocal or guitar track using direct monitoring, listening to the dry signal, you're going to appreciate ToneDirect monitoring.
Line 6 TonePort KB37 ships bundled with Ableton Live Lite - Line 6 Edition recording software so you can start making great sounding recordings as soon as you open the box.
The TonePort KB37 hardware acts as a copy-protection dongle for the GearBox software, which will not run without the TonePort connected to the host computer. Line 6 GearBox software controls TonePort and provides premium tone front end for recordings with emulations of premium valve preamps, vintage guitar and bass rigs, and studio effects.
