Yamaha RBX170 Bass Guitar
The Yamaha RBX170 is a great choice of bass if you're looking to get started. The Yamaha RBX170 uses a smaller body than the traditional "Fender" style, and players will find this lighter & more comfortable. The RBX170 also has a thin neck, so it feels fast to play - even if you have small hands. The RBX170 is a full size bass & as such is not suitable for children under the age of 12-13 years old. The RBX170 does not come in a starter pack - which is a drag as it's a great starter bass! However, we're happy to advise on putting a pack together for you - all you really need is a small bass amp & a regular guitar cable. On top of this you may want (although these aren't essential) a strap, a stand, a gig bag and some tuition material - all of which can be found if you browse this site.

Powering is by two punchy, clear-voiced single-coil pickups, with the volume and tone controls augmented by a pickup balance control for added sonic versatility and expression.
