181 Pre-Loaded Sounds At the Ready

While the SPD-S lets you sample up to 399(internal) User waveforms,(500 on the Compact flash card) it's nice to know there are 47 pre-programmed patches using the 181 Pre-loaded sounds covering everything from acoustic and electronic drums, loops, percussion and sound effects. Combine the onboard sounds with your own sampled sounds and loops to create the ultimate drum kit. A sampling CD is included to help get you started.

Create Your Own Phrases and Effects
The SPD-S includes a powerful multi-effects processor with 30 types of programmable effects. There is an additional, global ambience effect, giving you the power to sculpt any sound into something entirely new.

Once you've added effects to a sound, you can resample the waveform freeing the effects for something else. Original phrase loops can be created using the onboard pattern sequencer, and then that pattern can be re-sampled as a new wave form! The entire sequence can then be triggered like a phrase loop from one of the pads! With tools like these, the possibilities are endless. The SPD-S makes sampling a very easy process.
