The original Roland CD-2 was a massive hit with our education customers as it was nice and chunky thus easy to use. The on-board DSP allowed pitch and tempo of played back tracks to be changed, perfect for practice. 'One-touch' recording, courtesy of the built in mic, and 'instant-replay' via the on-board speakers ensured the CD-2 quickly became a classroom favourite.

With high-performance stereo speakers, stereo microphone, and CD drive built in, the CD-2e is ready for action right out of the box.
Take it Anywhere
Portability is a key advantage of the CD-2e. Weighing in at less than 1.1 kg (2 lbs 6 oz), it’s lighter than most laptop computers. It’s also slim and trim, at less than 50 mm (2 inches) thick. You can use the CD-2e anywhere since it can run off six AA batteries; for those who prefer to plug in, an AC adaptor is supplied. (To enable recording to and playback from CD-R/RW media, use of the supplied AC adaptor is required.)
Ideal for Music Study
The CD-2e is a great tool for music students, as it allows you to hear and analyze your performances with clean, clear detail. There are several playback modes available, including the ability to change the pitch and tempo of playback. A metronome function is provided as well. Handy Extras
