When doing an acoustic show or recording acoustic tracks, if you don’t want to use pickups, you must stay with your guitar/bass in front of the mic so it can reproduce the sound. sE Electronics has released a mic that wants to solve that problem, and it also eliminates the problem of tone quality changes when players move the guitar position, the sE GM 10. The sE Electronics GM10 is a acoustic mic that clamps to the body of the guitar to assure it’s always in the same position. The mic preamp is separated from the capsule, that way you can position the capsule wherever you want, and the shock mount eliminates any mechanical sound produced by the guitar. The mic features a small gold sputtered mylar type capsule that produces a condenser mic sound and its size doesn’t annoy while playing.
