I am writing to say I am extremely pleased with the service I have received from Andertons ! My JTM-1 head arrived in the US in less than a week from the dispatch date. I was also very pleased to see that in lieu of simply putting an address label on the Marshall box, it was instead surrounded by bubble wrap and in turn wrapped in black plastic, thus preserving the original appearance of the box, which I favor. The amp sounds great and worked flawlessly with the 120 - 230 step up transformer I purchased.

Just wanted to compliment Paul in the guitar department in the Guildford store for his knowledge, assistance and patience in helping me eventually purchase a Martin OM1 (and being very understanding when, having initially bought the D1 and subsequently decided a few days later that I had made the wrong choice, I took it back to change it for the OM1). And also, while I am here, can I offer a general compliment to Karis and the rest of the staff I have spoken to in the store who are always very friendly and helpful and display none of the arrogance that I find in many other guitar shops.

I visited the store yesterday to get a Yamaha THR 10 and a TC hall of fame reverb pedal. I may not be the best guitarist but I know a fair bit about customer service. I would just like to go on record to compliment you and your company on the great service I had from Alex and co on my visit. Ok for me to demo pedals and left to practise away uninterrupted at my own pace, yet your guys available for input as I needed it. Got good input into my options and had a great choice of product to try to get the right answer for me, rather than being sold what you wanted to sell me. Today I came into store looking to buy my second guitar. I didn't have loads to spend, but that made no difference to the quality of service I recieved. The staff were incredibly relaxed, and even gave me a free gig bag to fit my new Jackson when I purchased it. I felt I had to write to you to comment on Lewis. I have recently made a number of purchases from your shop and I have been served by Lewis on a number of occasions. I have to say that I have been extremely impressed by him. In a world where customers are quick to complain I felt that it was only right that I point out the excellent performance of this member of staff.

Lewis has impressed me with his enthusiasm for his job. He is extremely personable, and knowledgeable. I have always felt confident in his recommendations and I do not feel that I am being pressured into buying something. Most importantly Lewis takes an interest in the customers meaning that he does not push what you don't need. But perhaps the icing on the cake for me has been that with a two week gap in purchases and only having met me twice he remembered my name..... fantastic service!

I think special mention should also be made of Al Bowden who, as manager has been extremely impressive. When your shop is busy he keeps everything running with good humour and a smile on his face. He is never too busy to talk and he is always professional and polite.

I live in Twickenham and there are a number of music shops that would be more convenient for me but with the level of service that I receive at Andertons why would I go anywhere else?

Just wanted to thank Anderton's & particularly Paul in the acoustic guitar dept for customer service way above the call of duty. Paul has shown incredible patience & understanding whilst I have been buying a couple of guitars recently. I am a working singer/guitarist but I also have medical/neurological conditions that can make guitar buying stressful for me and make me seem like a pain in the backside to the shop. Paul bent over backwards to ensure that I went away with a couple of amazing guitars and was honest and strong enough to tell me when he thought an instrument was not the right one for me. I am writing to thank you for the extremely helpful and very cheerful service we have had from your drum department in resolving a problem with my sons' Alesis DM10. In conjunction with the distributors you managed to guide us through a very complex process of attempting a restore very swiftly and over a weekend. I am also pleased with the rapid and appropriate response to this problem. Overall your customer care has been outstanding, and stands in stark contrast with one of your competitors (based on the south coast) who took several weeks and a threat of legal action to address a fault with one of their products.

I Purchased an ESP EC-50 in black satin. The guy on the phone was really helpful and service was 10 out of 10. I ordered the guitar at 11.45am delivered the next day at 12.10pm. I'll be coming back for more items when i need them.

Just want to say thanks for the excellent service on the Mackie 15" Thumps. Replaced my pair of Peavey KB-4s. What a relief to walk into a gig with a cab in each hand instead of hunting around for someone to help me drag the peaveys in one at a time. They sound crisper too, Bottom end is very punchy and full. I even have to pull back the LF Eq a bit at the mixer to keep out of the Bass players way. 400 watts a side gives me plenty of headroom and I've moved the cabs back into the backline in the same plane as the Bass Cab and Guitarists cab giving us the best on-stage max we've ever had which is great in small venues. Definately a move forward and at £600 for the Cabs and a small mixer its a great soloution for a gigging keyboard player. (Obviously no mixer needed if you gig on a single keyboard)

I am a big fan of yours. I always watch your YouTube videos. Plus I want to congratulate you guys for my first order, the HT-5. Everything was perfect. From Guildford to Bucharest in less than 5 days. Damn ... that's fast.

Just wanted to say I'm very happy with the service I received. I ordered a Blackstar HT-100 yesterday morning and got it earlier this afternoon. The next delivery is really good and the amp is AMAZING! I'm a massive metal head and I've found difficult to find any decent videos of the amp doing metal. I was borrowing a mates Bugera 6262 and was just going to buy one of them as I knew they could do heavy, but I'm glad I took the risk and went with the blackstar. I've been playing with it all day and managed to get such a clear but brutal tone out of it! Anyways cheers for the amazing amp and good service!

I was looking for a small but good travelling acoustical guitar for my 18 year old son's birthday. I am not a guitarist but, after some research, had picked out and ordered a guitar on the website and they were nice enough to call me a day later to say that the only one they had left was the display model and they wanted to check that it was alright to send that one or if I wanted them to order a new one that would take a bit longer to get. I thought it was great that they checked with me first instead of just sending me the display model guitar and saying nothing. I probably wouldn't have noticed anyway but I thought it showed real honesty. In chatting with the salesperson, I asked some questions about different models and I ended up buying a completely different model that is much better for my son's needs. The sales person seemed really concerned that I get something that I would be happy with and was always keen to tell me pros and cons of different models including price differentials. I really trust Andertons - I will always turn to them for my guitar needs in the future.

Ordered the Epiphone Thunderbird Pro IV on Wednesday 13th April and it arrived before 12pm the very next day. It was very well packaged and there was no nasty surprises. Was very pleased with the service and will hopefully be using it again. 5 Stars!

Gear arrived yesterday as promised - the P5000 and BR15's work nicely together with the YS Processing switched on - they're a bit light on the bass without it. The Behringer is a lovely piece of kit for the money. The build quality feels a bit delicate but for that amount it's what I'd expect. Shure mics worked from the off. Very little setting up to do (once I'd worked out how to sync) and no bleeding of signals. Fantastic - massive improvement on what we've been used to.

So - thank you for your a) advice, b) quick turnaround and c) sheer cheerful professionalism!

I was reluctant to buy a guitar over the internet - I really wanted to be able to sit down, play it and check it for tone and fret buzz before buying it, but I couldn't get the one I wanted (an Epiphone EJ200CE) from anywhere nearby. I took a chance and ordered it through this website.

The guitar arrived in mint condition. I really can't say how very pleased I am with it. Ordering it through Anderton's was very straight-forward and they delivered exactly what they promised. I think the blurb says something about treating the online customers exactly the same as the in-store ones - we they do. I couldn't have done better if I'd gone there and picked out the guitar myself.

Just a little bit of feedback about my last purchase, a Sterling by MusicMan JP60 guitar. Everything about this purchase was perfect from the moment I placed the order to opening the box and setting up to play. Without realising it, I ordered an out of stock item and was contacted within 24 hours, at which point the mail order team let me know that they had in fact got the guitar I wanted in stock due to a delivery error from the manufacturer- a stroke of luck for both of us, the guitar I'd ordered was in fact available.

The personal touch from the team was greatly appreciated, with my guitar being sent out within 2 days of ordering - not bad for an out of stock item!

I've already recommended Anderton's to several friends who are now looking at purchasing. I really can't recommend them highly enough - from the personal service to the fantastic range of stock.

Just wanted to say that I dropped by the shop for my visit on Saturday & experienced the best shopping experience of my life. It was my first visit there & (sadly) I was there merely accompanying a friend who was in the market for a new electric guitar.

Whilst he tried the model he was interested in I wandered around my area of interest; the acoustic guitars. After checking with one of your excellent staff members I picked up 8 or 9 different guitars playing them either sat there or taking the option of one of your rooms.

None of your staff were pushing for a sale which was so refreshing. They felt more like musicians stuck in a shop rather than salesmen/women. Out of the 3 or 4 staff members I spoke with one thing was apparent they were all enthusisatic about what the topic of conversation was.

Due to this laid back atmosphere I know for absolute certain where I will be buying my next guitar! Can't wait to return.

Ordered an Ibanez AF125 Amberburst late on a Sunday and Andertons needed to check with distributor whether it was available. Rang me back on Monday saying it was available so I placed the order. Got text and email confirming order. Got another text and email when being despatched - along with tracking details for courier. Guitar arrived as sheduled. Price was 80 cheaper than anywhere else. Hi. 2 months ago I ordered this guitar from one of your rivals. They took a hundred pounds deposit and did not provide me with ANYTHING - not even an explanation, despite my attempts to contact them. After sixty days and promises that I would receive the guitar 'soon', still nothing. I cancelled the order and had to get my bank to argue for my deposit back.

I ordered from another of your rivals who again took my deposit before telling me I would have an indefinite wait (despite the website saying the guitar was in stock). I again cancelled my order.

4 days ago, including the weekend, I ordered the guitar from yourselves. I was told immediately that I could have a display model in perfect condition with a fee gig bag thrown in if I wanted it. I was then kept informed of every stage of the process. The guitar arrived first thing this morning - exactly as i was told - and is superb!

I will be using your service again, very soon!

Me and my son are both very happy with the way the situation has been dealt with. If we ever need any musical items in the future we will be coming to you ,and I will also recomend you to anyone else .Thanks for all your help.

Many thanks for the excellent communication over this and making the return of one amp and the purchase of an alternative one so stress free and easy. I am really pleased with the new amp as it is much more suitable for my main practice.

I am also extremely pleased that I decided to buy from Andertons. The quality of the customer service, both by phone and also by email has been second to none. As internet prices get ever more fiercely competitive I would still be happy to pay a little more to Andertons with the knowledge that the customer service and care is so good. My only regret is that I live too far away to shop in person but I feel that I have been treated with similar consideration as any customer who is physically in the shop. I came in last Saturday to get some kit. To cut a long story short Carl Moore was extremely patient and helpful considering how long I was taking and how indecisive I was being. Hats off to the bloke!

There were also two other staff members that I nabbed about my amplifier decision that were helpful too. A tall attractive girl and a chap with black hair in a side parting.
