Coil Tapping Your Chapman ML2

If you want to have coil tapped pickups on your Chapman Guitars ML2 Custom - you may or may not need additional work done, depending on your requirements. Check out the available options below.

1) Active Pickups - No Coil Tapping!

If you have active pickups, these cannot be coil tapped so if you have selected (for example) a set of active EMGs, you will have a standard pickup configuration with no coil tapping.

2) Passive Pickups - Either bridge OR neck coil tapped

To coil tap pickups individually, you will need a push/pull volume knob fitted to your ML2. You will need to add this extra part to your ML2 order. If you wish to coil tap either the neck or the bridge pickup, please order this switch and specify which pickup you want tapped when you order. Please note - the pickups you choose or provide to us must have 4 conductor wiring in order to be coil tapped.

3) Passive Pickups - Both pickups coil tapped

If you want to be able to coil tap both pickups independently of one another, you will need to add two push/pull volume knobs to your order. Click here, add this switch to your basket and adjust the quantity to "2" if you want both pickups coil tapped.
