Cakewalk announce Sonar X2

Cakewalk have announced the latest update of the popular DAW Sonar. Cakewalk Sonar X2 features new enhancements to the fabled 'Skylight' graphical user interface including a new Smart Tool feature that allows you to literally chop and change between tasks without having to change tools every time too, Smart Tool makes sure you always have the most appropriate tool for what you're doing.

There's loads of other tweaks and improvements and three price points with differing levels of functionality. Essential is stripped back to make it very affordable for those that might not need some of the higher end features, Studio features the lions share of features including unlimited track count and Producer features the full whack including the premium software subtractive synth Rapture
