Roland have announced the release of two updated audio interfaces to augment their CAPTURE and UM lines.

The Roland Duo Capture EX combines the same compact portability and ease of use as its little brother, the Duo Capture, but with the added benefits of two mic preamps with +48v phantom power, MIDI input and output and high-impedance instrument input. The Duo Capture EX can be powered using USB Bus power, AA batteries or AC adaptor and can be connected to a PC, Mac or iPad (iPad requires an optional accessory kit).

The Duo Capture EX uses the same preamps as the Octa Capture and Quad Capture interfaces so users who need the most portable interface in the Capture range do not compromise on sound quality.

The Roland UM ONE mk2 is a pocket-sized MIDI interface. The new mk2 version is now compatible with the Apple iPad via the Apple Camera connection kit. Control MIDI apps on your iPad using your existing MIDI gear!

The extra-compact, affordable nature of the UM ONE mk2 makes it the ideal choice for interfacing MIDI gear to music programs on your iPad, your PC or Mac DAW.
