Gibson have announced the re-release of the Les Paul that started it all. This special 60th anniversary Les Paul Gold Top features the same classic look as the original 1952 Les Paul, including a trapeeze bridge, gold top and P90 pickups.

Whilst the sound and playing-feel of the 60th Anniversary Les Paul remains true to the original model, this reissue features tweaks to the wraparound bridge and highly-accurately-machined components to ensure that the quality of tone and playing action is perfect, but the feel and tonal characteristics are as close to a real 1952 Les Paul as one will ever get.
