Shopping for Musical Instruments Whilst in the UK For the London Olympics

Did you know that residents from outside the European Community can claim back VAT (UK sales tax) on purchases made in the UK? This often means that if you are in the UK on holiday or on business, you can often pick up a great deal on music gear saving 20% on the quoted price! It's a simple process that just requires a form being filled out at time of purchase and presented to customs as you leave the UK. Customs will then refund you the 20% VAT sales Tax. It's as simple as that!

Here's how it works

• You must be shopping in our physical store in Guildford (just outside London). Not online or on the phone
• Tell a member of staff you are travelling from outside the EC (European Community)
• The member of staff will ask you to fill out a short form called 'Retail Export Scheme'
• You will need to show your passport at which point the memebr of staff will complete the retailer part of the form
• Upon leaving the UK present customs with the completed form, proof of purchase and the goods purchased
• Customs will issue a refund of the Value Added Tax VAT

Andertons is a short distance from the A3 Guildford Exit. The A3 is accessible from the M25 at junction 10.

By Train
Trains from London Waterloo to Guildford run approximately every 15 mins at peak times and the journey takes around 35 mins. Andertons is a 5 minute walk from Guildford Station
