With more and more guitar players wanting to record their guitar onto a PC or Mac, Line 6 have entered the audio interface market with the Line 6 UX1 & UX2. Working on the basic ethos of all Line 6 products - keep it simple & make it sound great - the Line 6 UX2 is a great way to get started on your computer. Once you've got the Line 6 UX2 connected & installed (takes about 5 minutes), you'll be able to mix & match all your favourite amps & FX using a really simple & nice to look at on screen display. The sound quality is excellent & you'll soon be making music, as the UX2 ships with a free version of the Ableton Live Lite sequencing software! You'll even find a whole section of FX for vocals & for bass guitar, all included within the UX2 software. The Toneport interfaces work with both Windows & OSX.

What's the difference between the UX1 & UX2? The UX1 has 1 mic input & 1 guitar/bass input & both can be used simultaneously. The UX2 has 2 mic inputs & 2 guitar/bass inputs & all 4 can be used simultaneously. The UX2 also features phantom power via the XLR mic inputs - this enables you to use any studio style mic that requires phantom power. If you have a UX1, you will be restricted to using mics that don't require phantom power. The UX2 also has VU input level meters on the front, which makes getting your input levels a bit easier to judge.
