This is a great little fuzz box, very versatile, the extra switches give it a few more possibilities and sounds. It gives a wide variety of distortion and fuzz tones with loads of sustain. It gives anything from fat creamy lead sounds to in your face wall of fuzz sounds. The sustain knob controls the level of distortion and the amount of sustain (how long notes last) and can give near enough endless notes and can create some cool feedback noises. The tone changes the sound from a thicker, smoother tone with more mids and less treble, and turning it up makes the sound a bit more thin to my ear, and more fuzzy, less smooth. The Tone switch, when on, means nothing is changed, just the standard muff pedal, but when turned off it bypasses tone circuit, boosting both the gain and volume of the pedal. The wicker pedal seems to be a slight treble boost and gives a few more sound options. This pedal is a bit different from the classic big muff, having a smoother tone, more like the little big muff, but still gets great vintage muff tones. I got this pedal looking for sounds such as J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr, Jack White and Smashing Pumpkins. Great grungey and bluesy lead tones to be had here. I play this mainly with my Fender Jazzmaster in to a Vox AC30 or a Blackstar HT5. This is a great pedal if you want a versatile and good quality dirt box without going boutique.

Brilliant pedal. Classic tones and loads of scope to shape the sound. Well worth the money!
